Paint vendors will rarely (if ever) accept returns of mixed paint.. The only way to change the color would be to add more pigment - which they may be willing to do... but, there is no guarantee that the final color will be acceptable. That is why paint stores give out paint chips and even small containers of paint so the homeowner may see the color in different light (morning, afternoon, evening) and be sure of the paint before they make a purchase.

No. There is a sign in the paint department that says " no returns or exchanges on custom mixed paint. We will attempt to adjust the color if you wish. "

You cannot possibly "tint" to another color without changing the hue.

Recently my parents wanted to repaint the house and they chose a color that looked absolutely terrible. Now they want to return it..however they aren't sure if Home Depot will accept returns of mixed paint. Do they? And if not, is it possible to change the hue of the paint(like tint it to another color..)?thanks in advance!!
