Creative way to hang a curtain on an awkwardly placed window?

The way the window looks having a curtain is going to be a no deal, but for two things the idea I am thinking would work, 1. Is it a window that has a view that someone can see in or you want to see out? 2. Do you mind that there is light coming from it most times. There are decorative window films out there that you can use to block the view and still have light coming in, by the looks of the window I wouldn't put anything on it, because of the space around it, anything else would make it look heavy. Otherwise a blind would work, if you attached the one side to the wall instead of the window and use an outside measurement rather than the inside the window as most use. Good luck.

That is the most strangely placed window I have ever seen.

I think I would place the brackets so the curtain sits inside the inner edge of the frame on the side away from the wall, and in the same position on the wall side, and then get some light drapey fabric and hang a couple of lengths of it from either end, disguising the fact that the window frame on the wall side appears to have been cut off. The idea is that you are faking it to make it appear that you have an entire window frame, not one that has been cut off. It will make your window seem narrower, but hide that weird cut-off frame.

I'm guessing this is a converted attic space? I think a curtain would look odd and draw more attention that the window is off centered. I'd stick to a roller shade or miniblind

Thanks yes I think I could hang blinds with an inside mount. Just really wanted to hang a curtain in this room (there are other windows in the room that would look great with curtains, need this one to match).

Maybe a roller blind or a venetian blind would work as the brackets for these have options for fixing.

See attached picture. I could just hang a curtain rod that fits exactly on the white frame, but it won't look exactly right because there's no space between the window and wall for it to go over a bit. I just wondered if there are any other options out there for creative drapery hanging? Thanks!
