It really doesn't matter. All you have to learn is how to control your income. My wife and I have been married 42 years and we always put money away when we got paid. We are both retired and we still do it.
Its always better to get your money sooner. Time is money. Not very many people get paid weekly these days though. Who would pick biweekly when you can get paid weekly? But personally it wouldnt make much difference to me.
It comes down to your life style. If you need the money weekly then that's what you want. If you budget correctly and can accept a check twice monthly, which is bi-weekly then you might prefer that. It really depends on the individual.
hourly wage earners get their pay every friday or every other friday. Those who are considered management are paid on the 15th of each month. I prefer getting paid once a month like we used to get paid back in the 1950's and that's so I don't have to deal with when to mail what.
I do not care because I refuse to live paycheck to paycheck like that. I intentionally spend much less money than I am able to. It really gives a lot of freedom and I value that more than stuff.
I always liked twice a month
