You know Matt an EXIT sign isn't really all that thrilling no matter the color.
Why don't you take a look at black lights, strobe lights or laser gizmos.
I have a Craftsman level System Laser Trac.
It sends bright red dotted lines over the enter room.
Need to be careful with lasers though --- keep them elevated so the beam doesn't hit anyone in the eyes.
It has been said that green exits are easier to read since the human eye cannot see red light as easily, especially through smoke; green signs will never be confused with actual fire itself and that the color green has positive psychological and emotional effects on people as compared to red.
Green is brighter but red would make more sense
red will be better exit signal as it will be clearly visible in dark also nd it can also be viewed from more far distance as compared to green light
I think red exit sign is better.
