basically , the handy ones are sunlight, wind , hydro, nuclear , coal etc but a couple of days ago i came across anew one that is electromagnetic induction . You just have to rotate a copper coil between two magnets and induced current will be developed . i don't know about its present level of use but if you like ut and want to search more you can search it on net.

Any motion or reaction can produce electricity. It depends on how efficient it is. Mixing vinegar and baking soda will create an expanding foam that you can harness to push a cog that turns a generator (which is the 'new source' someone cited.) This idea is not new. It is the basis of all electrical generation.
