As far as countries where you could dissappear from authorities and perhaps create a new identity, Yemen would be one. Syria would be a good place to become an unknown. As to places that are inexpensive to retire in, you have Thailand, Costa Rica, Brazil, etc. However Brazil's currency has been doing well so it's moving out of the inexpensive range.

Try Canada... It is similar to the United States but is more wide spread. Also You can chose location from dense in the southern areas and more desolate in the northern areas.

The mongolian plateau plains, with mountains and clear streams with Taiman giant salmon.

Or the Russian woodlands with deer and elk and stuff. And bears. Wrestle bears

guam is a good farming country. might have to learn a new language. south america might be a good place also.

I want to move to a third world country and live in a small village while owning a small farm. Basically, I want to live off the land in a foreign country. What country can i go to 'disappear' in? I was thinking mexico. Any suggestions?
