Self-Employed and Not Paid after Two Weeks?

I work for a place called Kisella Distributing, selling Kirby's door to door. I don't go knocking on doors trying to sell this thing, but appointments are made and we go to those appointments as a group of 4 or 5.

Here's the thing; I started over a week ago (this is currently my second week), or more precisely, the Thursday before last. The Thursday to Saturday was Orientation, learning how to do the demonstration, and stuff, and the same Zaturday and Sunday was doing demos to family and friends. On Monday we came in and were ready to finally get the job started and earn some bonus cash from sales, but nobody showed up to unlock the doors. I finally called the store manager and he came and unlocked the doors and set us up with a team leader. We met up with the team leader, did a few houses, but after we picked the guy up after he was done we went back and the team leader said we were done to the day. What? We drove around for maybe 3 hours and that's it, and an hour of it was spent at gas station! Maybe today is a bad day. I come in the next day and there's nobody there again except for me and my 2 crew members. Its been like that all the way up to today. We have a promised cushion of $500 a week and at the end of this week they owe each of us $1000. I'm worriied he won't pay us. I have things that need to be paid and these guys are screwing me. What can I do? Take him to court without a lawyer? Proof of Income? This counts as self-emoyment.

Sorry to everyone here, I had to leave out information due to not enough characters. I get paid Weekly $500 as cushion (that is what they told me) even if I don't make any sales. My question Is what I should do if they don't pay me since they have been absent from work. Can I take them to court?

First of all, did you even ask when paydays were? More than likely, paydays are Fridays, which means if you get paid weekly, your first pay check is this coming Friday. If you get paid bi-weekly, you probably won't see a paycheck until the week after.

Do you have a contract? What is the payment schedule? Is there a space between sales and accrued commission?

there is no way you are getting $500 a week with no sales working those few hours
