excersize, eat healthy, sleep, smile
Exercise. A brisk 10-15 minute walk will wake you up and give you happy exercise-induced endorphins. Stick baby in a stroller and go for a quick jaunt around the block. It honestly takes just as long to go for a walk as it would to put on, wait for, and drink a pot of coffee. And it's better for you (and helps with the baby weight. Double bonus).
Eat a banana. It will give you as much energy as two cups of coffee and it is full of good potassium.
Take a cat nap. If you put your daughter down in the afternoon, snooze for 20 minutes while she does.
Eat a balanced breakfast full of fruit, protein, and good carbs and low in sugars. Berries, granola and yogurt, for example, would be better than a bowl full of sugary cereal. Oatmeal, milk, and honey is another good breakfast.
Snack often. We get tired when our blood sugar is low. It's easy to focus so much on your baby that your forget to feed yourself. Keep things like granola bars and fruit handy so you can munch throughout the day. Magnesium-rich foods will keep you energized. Grab a handful of almonds.
Drink a lot more water throughout the day to avoid dehydration.
