Exactly how hard is it to become a multimillionaire?

I have heard people talking about how hard it is to become rich. But isnt it easy if you save money and have a well paying job?

This question may sound stupid but please disregard my ignorance as I am only a curious teenager

Easy for some and hard for others. All the British Royals have to do is be born, or wait for higher up relatives to die. Sometimes people bought property which was cheap years ago but has become the value of more than a million today, effectively making them millionaires. Others worked very hard. Others used other people, like Simon Cowell. He is one of the worst in my opinion, he makes money off people and then turns on them when they can't achieve the same thing forever. Although the user Megan is right, most millionaires are just that because of the past, it would be harder now.

Most people, even with well paying jobs, don't make a million in their life time. You would have to be living with your parents, and have everything paid for by someone else to make a million $ in this economy and with how the world works now a days. My grandfather is a physicist and isn't even a millionaire. And he is the most money conserving person I've ever met.

First off, no question is a stupid question. Thirty five years ago when the stock market was good and you got a return of 30%, you were able to do it in 3/5 years. But in today's market, the return is only 2%. When you save up about $10,000, invest in fixed annuities and the S&P.

It's really about personal accountability. Some people can't make the "hard decisions" necessary to get to the office on time. Others can make the hard decisions to lay off a beloved employee and friend to keep their business afloat in a recession.

For the difference, read "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki, and his "Cashflow Quadrant" book for the types of people and where they thrive.

If you get a million dollars and then get a million more you will be a multimillionaire.
