And for those that think that heat is the end of energy, the object temperature varies, but if two objects one cold and the other hot are touching each other at a point, the cold one will be heated and the hot one will be coolen so heat isn't the end of energy because it also cannot be destroyed.

Similarly empty vacuum, basically nothing does have energy which we can not access for work but it is possible to "borrow" energy from this energy level creating a gradient of energy with which we can do work. Indeed, this is what is happening with the Universe, the expansion of the Universe creates a gradient of energy in the quantum vacuum which allows what we perceive as matter and energy to exist. So for all practical purposes, consider that neither matter nor energy cannot be created or destroyed but it goes all out the window when you're talking about cosmology and the universe.
