It's a lot less embarrassing to deposit $20 than to have that $4 turn into $400 because of overdraft fees piling up!
Yesterday I drove up to a Bank of America ATM and deposited $2 so I could go get a movie from Redbox.
Its completely fine to deposit $20 and as far as embarrassment is concerned where does that comes into picture? Did your neighbor is gonna ask you how much you deposited? Or is it your friend who is gonna come to know about it? It is your account and completely your wish how much you want to deposit. Go for it, just don't pile up the overdue charges.
That's fine, I trust you are also covering any monthly fees like some checking accounts have as well. You can probably do an ATM deposit so no ones sees.
Why would that be embarrassing? People make small deposits all the time. It's much more embarrassing (mot to mention expensive) to have that overdraft hanging out there.
