Are political conflicts still going on?

Pakistan and India are still at it, albeit at a lower level than outright war.

That's probably because Pakistan knows it would lose any conventional war against India this year -- and probably this decade.

as to why the conflict continues -- imho, Pakistan's pride has been abused; first by the British conquest of the then Muslim lead Indian states and then by the failure of Britain to restore their Muslim heirs to overlordship over all of India. At one level, they think they outlasted the British invaders and thus are entitled to return to their position of power over the Hindus.

Rather naturally, the Hindus see things quite differently and have no desire to submit to what was, in essence, a dictatorship by foreigner conquerors. And, today, they're large enough and well enough organized that they need not do so.

Kashmir is about the same stuff. The people of Kashmir voted in open and quite honest plebiscite [run by the British in 1950] to be free and independent of Pakistan and India both. Pakistan refused to accept this and supplies arms and men to a Muslim insurgency with the aim of toppling the Kashmir regime and installing their own, or even merging with Pakistan. The offended Kashmir regime asked India for military assistance, leading to the present partition of Kashmir.

Imho, Pakistan is the bad boy in this scenario and probably should be treated the same way as the current Iranian regime [which also seems as though it can not leave its neighbors in peace].

Pakistan and India? I know there were four wars fought over the land of Kashmir and the borders that no one could agree on,and Religion also plays a key roll, but are conflicts still continuing? I am doing a project on the conflicts, and i have failed to find if the conflicts have ended,or if they are still skirmishing today. Thank you.
