I recently received a pair of old metal frame sunglasses which were custom made for my grandfather. Unfortunately the lenses were prescription glass lenses for his eyes and do not match my prescription. Is there any where I can get replacement non prescription GLASS lenses for these custom frames for a reasonable price? Lens crafters quoted me approx. $200 for a basic non prescription lens replacement and would not even do glass. You'd have to go to a real upscale place that deals with glasses - like maybe an eye clinic. The real professionals can make you any sort of glass you want. But actually finding it is going to be tough for old frames.
