I recently purchased a light grey linen suit and was wondering what type of tie fabric would go best with it. Is a tie of the same fabric the best, or does the contrast provided by a silk tie make it the better option? My initial thought was to go with a linen tie, but then I didn't know if that would seem too mono-textured, if that makes any sense. a seer sucker fabric would be a good match for a linen suit - maybe a bow tie- very cool and fashionable!

I do think a linen tie would be too much. Stick with the classic silk.
