Kate Moss is the shortest working high fashion model and she's 5'7" and I can't think of any other successful models who are also 5'7" These days even 5'8" is considered short as most high fashion models are now 5'10" - 6' tall In the last VS fashion show, the AVERAGE height of all models in the show was 5'10.5"

Height for models is now taller than ever. 5'8" may be the shortest you will see on the runway and I do not think you will see this shorter height for too long more. Designers like to see tall models because the taller girls show off the clothes better and in a more fluid motion. Six feet will soon be a norm not an exception in my humble opinion.
