To me no. I love parasolsBut to society and the people around you yes because people will be like "why does that person have an umbrella with them? Its sunny out?" People see umbrellas and parasols for rain and such. I don't see whats wrong with carrying a parasol. Heck, women back then used parasols to shield themselves from the sunlight. I don't see why its a threat nowadays.

Society wise yes. To me no! I think it looks cute if it matches what your wearing. And when I was younger I would use a black umbrella to give me shade when I walked around the neighborhood.

Actually it's good for you. Too much sun can cause skin cancer.
