Both will suit this shorts but i personally like Button-down shirt.

I love the out fit but ditch the tank for underneath and maybe wear a white bando for underneath and some light blue Vans or something like it

Im wearing one of those right now with a pair of skinny jeans! try tucking it into the shorts and it will be more stylish.or you don't even have to button it up just wear like a tank top and use it as an over shirt, I do that sometimes.

Ditch the shirt and go for a plain t-shirt
