If you iron in a stabilizer, will it make a lightweight fabric dress look heavier?

There's this amazing dress I'd like to buy for my engagement pictures, but it's only offered online. I can't find it in ANY stores. The problem is,the dress is made out of spandex. Obviously I may want it to be thicker once I have it so you don't see every lump/bump in my body. It's backless so spanx are out of the question. :( Maybe a medium weight interfacing or stabilizer could bulk the material up? Any ideas? I don't think putting interfacing on this sort of material will work, unless you use an incredibly thin interfacing. It is a very stretchy and thin and light material and even a medium interfacing will just make it look stiff and weird. A thin interfacing might work, but I don't where you find some. It just isn't made for this sort of material, because spandex is a material that is made to fit and to cling to your body. Good Luck and the dress is beautiful. Hope it works out for you :)
