European or American shoe sizes more reliable ?

Hey guys. I kinda know my part of the answer already I just want to hear other opinions. I'm about to buy shoes online and I only have one try.. So, usually, since I'm from Germany, when I bought shoes in Europe it always ended up being between 46.5 and 47.5 and I actually had to try them one because you never knew, but interestingly whatever size ended up fitting me always ended up being converted to a US13 on the tag. So, do you think now I should rely on that and buy 13 or do you think the european sizes are more reliable and I should go with that, which would be an actually 47 for me which would be converted to a 12 for this specific company. Those are some behemoth-class feet. I'm usually a euro size 40 or in extreme cases a 41...

Honestly this is a question thatis REALLY hard to answer because it is subjective. Some find the US to be more accurate, others the European. But from my experience, as an American who buys a few European stuff here and there, I would go with the Euro sizes. Some would argue there should be no difference as they are just conversions of each other, but whatever.
