Will a FLAT full-sized sheet fit a queen bed?

I bought these sheets at a discount store under the assumption I'd have a full bed. I'm now considering a queen as there will be 2 people sleeping on it. I can't return the sheets, and I LOVE them, and I can't find them online. I'm a crafty/thrifty person, and I was wondering if anyone has gotten a FLAT, full-sized sheet to fit a queen bed. I feel that with some safety pins and "sheet suspenders," I could make it work.

Has anyone done this?

If it would fit, don't you think they would sell them as queen/full in their sizing?

Each mattress has a specific size and the sheets match the size.

A full/double size flat sheet can be used as a top sheet on a queen mattress. The side overhangs will be approximately five inches on each side, and once the bottom edge is tucked in, the full/double size flat sheet will never reach the top of the queen mattress.

The double size fitted sheet will be too small all the way around for use on a queen mattress unless you remove the elastic and corner stitching and create another flat sheet. You will need to sew material at each corner of the opened double size fitted sheet to complete the shape of the flat sheet required; approximately 84 inches wide by 105 inches long, if fitted sheet pocket depth was fifteen inches.

A queen mattress is sized 60 inches wide by 80 inches long. The standard dimensions for queen size flat sheets are 90 inches wide by 102 inches long.

A full/double mattress is sized 54 inches by 75 inches long. The standard dimensions for full/double size flat sheets are 81 inches wide by 96 inches long.

You can use them but you might not like them. Widthwise they will only extend about 6 inches off each side of the bed. The length will give you a few problem due to only a few inches will be tucked under the foot of the bed. It will easily pull out from tossing and turning in bed.

nope its not wide enough about 6" too narrow
