who is going up above the garage to take a dump? Is the basement finished or one of those dungeon basements? Do you already have a laundry room? More info is needed.

Nobody can tell you without knowing your house, not for sure. Though I'd have to guess, that a garage with a open place below it would be easier to make a drain in.
