Should I do interior painting myself with DIY kit or choose a professional?

which one is better? Can You suggest me the best idea?

As a professional painter I will tell you that DIY "kits" don't always get the best result. They are cheap for a reason. If you don't want to hire a professional cause you can't afford it or just want the joys of doing it yourself, at least spend a little extra for good quality equipment and paints from paint stores like Sherwin Williams or Kwal. Wal-Mart and home depot stuff will make your home look cheap. But hiring someone like me can get you better results, find better colors, and give you better ideas, since that's all I do. It's up to you in the end.

When the old house paint starts peeling off and your house exterior looks bad, then you want to paint it. The question is should you do it yourself or hire a professional house painting service. Most of the homeowners think that they can save lot of money by doing it by themselves. There are several other factors to consider while making a decision.

Consider the following:

Do you know which type of paint best suits your house? This is decided based on several factors like location, climatic conditions, neighborhood etc.

Before starting the painting job, the area must be prepared well to make sure that the paint sticks properly. The surface must be caulked properly. Are you familiar with this type of preparation job?

Do you have all the equipment to power wash the walls?

Professional house painters use some chemicals to prevent mildew growth. Do you know how to use those chemicals?

While painting, you have to work with ladders and scaffolding. If you are not familiar with the safety practices while working with them, you may be at risk of falling from them. Are you familiar with ladders and scaffolding?

Do you have tools that are required for painting and do you know how to properly work with them?

Final finishing is important in any paint job. This requires expertise and only a professional can ensure a perfect finish. So, are you experts in the finishing job.

Another most important question is, do you really have the time to do the job?

Pose all the above questions to yourself and make sure that you take the right decision. Professional house painters know how to work with ladders and are experts in all stages of a paint job. They will have all types of tools and power washing equipment, and know how to use them. Professional painters also offer warranty on their services.

It is a matter of personal choice.

It is cheaper to do it yourself, and some people find it satisfying to work on their own homes. On the other hand, it is possible that you will bet better results from a professional and the work may well be done quicker and neater. But it will cost you more than buying paint and brushes yourself.

DIY can be fun when you want to add a touch of "you", but a professional will be able to capture what you want. A friend of mine named Steve Dubel is a professional and he specializes in home improvement. Why not give him a call?

It is best to get a professional to do it. You risk making your home look cheap and destroying your carpet! But I'm a professional so perhaps I notice bad job more than other people. Or you can try doing it yourself then if it does not take an expert to do it!

if you are aconfident person when it comes to painting do it yourself i personally had never painted in my whole life not even as a kid i did my hallway buy myself and guess what didnt get any on the carpet or floor and my hubby said he couldnt have done it better himself

which one is better? Can You suggest me the best idea?
