Safe enough as long as liquid doesnt get to turntable motor. Its the metal case that stops the microwaves getting out of the oven. You should think about a new one at some stage as cracked plastic will make it hard to keep clean.
No!!!! Get a new microwave- make sure when you discard it you cut the plug off- after unplugging it- so someone can't pick it up curb side and use it-
