I need some help with room planning and decoration?

I just redid my bedroom, and painted it light blue (robins egg blue) and pure white. The exact color of the blue is Sweet Rhapsody. Doing it a bright, pretty, yellow would work too. Some of my color suggestions are: yellow, light blue, light pink, orange, or any light colors like that. Maybe you can move into a different room with a window if you really want natural light. If you can't , then put lots of decorations that have light colors if your able to. I recommend Target and TJMaxx Home Goods, Kirklands home, Pier 1 Imports, and Hobby Lobby.

Tips:

Black shelves with bright colored picture frames

The colors pink, blue, yellow, or orange in your decorations

If you are able to open your window, then I suggest you do, because hearing birds chirp and the trees swaying can be very peaceful

Maybe some posters or photos that have quotes on them

I hope this helped:)

As you said that there is not a good light source in your room so you should paint your walls with light color like mint green, lightest shade of red, light cream color as light shades enhances the overall light effects in room. If you want to use some bright colors as well then you can use one wall of the room for this purpose. Also you may add some decorative items like photo frames, stickers, posters etc on the wall.

You may also use this color scheme in your room - http://www.leonfurniturestore.com/signat...

As you said that you have no good light source so you should use light colors that increase light effect in room. Dark colors creates a dim light effect so use neutral colors. White is very simple so you may use some light shades of red, green and sky blue. At one side of walls you may use a bit darker shade and use some decorative items like a set of photo frames, stickers etc on that wall that follows a pattern. You may even use something like this one-http://www.leonfurniturestore.com/signat...

Hello Abby,

In addition to painting, why not add a table or floor lamp for extra lighting? You could always add an accent wall with temporary wallpaper (hottest trend right now).

Hope that helps,

Go to the paint store and buy a quart of paint in each color. Paint part of each wall with both colors. Live with them for a while and see which one is better for you.

The third picture on the top row here is perfect. It is light and not too overdone.

My computer is a mess , hopefully you can get a better picture.

I go for light pink - so feminine and I guess this color fits you. You should incorporate stuffs that blends with the color of your room. I have searched pink stuffs that you can add in to your room and/or this will give you an idea.

I'm looking to repaint my bedroom, but I need some help with color schemes. I get no natural sunlight due to a carport over my only window. This affects how color looks and feels in my giant bedroom. Any ideas as to what colors I should paint it? I'm thinking maybe a light pink or blue with white, but I'm not sure! Help?!
