Try showing your mom some home decorating magazines with teen room decorating ideas or bedroom designing ideas. save your money to buy new bedding
So I did my room about 4 years ago. I used to be really into dark colors so my bedding is black and red and all of my furniture is black. I want to redo my room. I want to get colorful bedding and white furniture. I can leave the walls because they are just blue. When I asked my mom she said that I couldn't. I hate how dark it is. I tried painting a bit of the back of the headboard white to see if painting my furniture and bed would work, but it looks really bad. Is there any way to convince them to get new furniture, or even just a different bed set so I will at least have colorful blankets and pillows??? I just cannot stand how dark it looks.
