So for the past few years I've noticed about 1inch long worm-like bugs slithering around in my house, only on the second landing, they appear mostly when Spring starts until late Fall. They are mostly in the bathroom and hallway but now I've noticed them in the bedrooms as well.
I thought at first that they were silverfish because they look alike but they aren't. They are approx. 1 inch long, brownish in color, lighter color underneath, they have no antennas and leave no trail apart for their skins every now and then (they are not snakes so please do not comment "snake"). They don't seem to change into other forms of bugs either.
They are fast when they feel danger and they seem to appear out of nowhere; I would look over my room, leave for two minutes, come back and there would be one in the middle of the room. They also go up walls, which is quite disturbing when you think about it.
What are they and how the hell do we get rid of them? I've already found two in my bed in the past month and I'm not looking forward to finding more. We've tried poison, different kinds of spices, washing the floors with bleach, also with vinegar, and nothing! I am desperate, yet I don't want to call an exterminator because they cost a lot. So if anybody could help me, it would be more than appreciated!!!
