Drywall for Beginner?

If you've got a garage door, there are many things that can and should be done to keep your door operating smoothly and safely. If your door is more than a few years old, and has not had any service done on it, you may already be damaging your garage door motor and door, not to mention the noise.

It can be done, but you need to do some homework first. The best thing you can do is go to YouTube and search out the subject. There are literally hundreds of videos covering everything from prepping the framing, installation of drywall on ceilings and walls, finishing, etc.

So I am moving back home to my mothers garage! Judge all you want it's my best move right now. I need to finish college and save money.

The issue with the garage is the landlord never finished building it. Three walls and the garage door. Only one wall has drywall up. The other two don't have installation or dry wall. Neither does the roof.

I was wondering could I just buy some installation and a few pieces of drywall and nails at homedepot and just screw them on?

I not looking to make it super fancy just want the room proper

Also what's that plaster type paint people put on there drywall?

Could I with a help of another amateur still put up drywall on the roof frame thing?

Tips are welcome
