Yes we picked it especially, we moved 10 years ago from England to Ireland so it took months of planning & legal paperwork. We made it our family home & have been very happy. My nearest neighbours are 200 yards in either direction, it is a quiet rural place.
Yes I want to move, we have the house up for sale right now, we plan to sell (one day), downsize & buy a cottage in a different part of Ireland by the coast. We'll be cash buyers so no more mortgage payments. The kids are grown up & at college. Can't wait to have time for me again after 21 years of raising kids
Long story....moved here to FIL's house and he and 2nd wife moved to her house. We were to be caretakers here since it was too big a job (89 acres) of FIL at his age. Bad part is a couple years later wife dies and FIL moves back here with us. He's now 91. I hate it here with him....no privacy, sold our home to come here and not allowed to change things while he lives. Left behind all friends. Family far away. No way out....spouse can't/won't leave him alone (and I agree with that) but I'm soooooo unhappy.
I am happy no matter where I am it is home until its not.I wasn't born with it,can't take it with me,you just enjoy the journey while we are here.
