DIY no sew curtains fabric type?

Hi - the type of fabric you will be using is not heavy fabric - so you should be OK, but obviously don't have the iron too hot - test the iron before putting on your fabric.

Although I would say that you cannot beat actually having the hems sewn by either hand or machine.

If you took them to a dressmakers/curtain maker - they would not cost you very much at all to be done - why not price this up first before you purchase the tape? What have a got to loose by making one or two quick phone calls?

Hope the above helps :)

You're far better getting ready made curtains instead of using loose fabric and hem.

The hemming does not hold too well in heavy drop curtains. You'll end up with sagging and ruined curtains for going cheap.

I'm going to be making my own no sew curtains using iron on hem product. What type of fabric can I use? I love the look of the faux silk curtains/satin but I don't know if the fabric is too thin to use the iron on hem. Any suggestions?
