some stains are part paint pigment so it would make it change but you lose the wood grain. You can put pigment in clear finish polyethelene. Of course darker stain will change things a lot lol

Try it in a spot where it won't show. Minwax stains are compatible with each other so it should work.

OK I am refnishing my hardwood floor and I was going to try to go with a light stain. I used Minwax pickled oak 260. I hate it. I haven't apllyed any polyurethane yet. I have a lot of golden oak stain which is a much darker stain. Can I stain over the picked oak with the golden oak with out it looking like crap?
