Can a different color fix yellow lighting in bedrooms?

Wall colors can make a difference in how you view things, a little because of reflection of the color and a little because of how our eyes perceive color when one color is adjacent to another. In dim lighting, yellow tones are easier to see, so keeping lighting low and your eyes will see yellow long before they'll see blue.

However, try different lighting. If your lighting is incandescent, everything will have a more yellowish cast. CFLs, LEDs, have a brighter, whiter light and this might make the difference. A few bulbs is a lot cheaper and less work than painting walls :)

Other than that...perhaps the photos themselves are overly saturated.

If your camera has light balance settings then set it to "incandescent" when taking pictures inside your house. It's the light bulbs that are causing it. Fluorescents (the long tube bulbs used in commercial space) have the opposite effect making everything seem more blue or green. You can also try replacing your lightbulbs with a high quality "soft white" bulb or replace with LEDs which can be expensive (about $20/bulb) but they will last 20+ years and use very little electricity.

you can use photo editing software to remove the extra yellow. it works great on old old photos too

My bedroom, as with other rooms in my home, seem to make yellower tones simply stand out more, especially on camera (plus Apple products already had issues with that in earlier devices). We use a lot of teals, greens, beiges, and one room is red...we also tend to keep the house lighting fairly dim? I don't know if that's the cause though, even when we DO fully illuminate a room photos still look unnaturally saturated.

Would changing the colors of the walls actually make any impact?

Thanks in advance xx
