Bed bugs in apt?

great answer, good advice. Once they establish themselves they are hard to kill and if you move they will come with you to your new place.

Public Health can give you more information but what they will do will depend on where you live.

If the other residents find out, you can be sure that they will be ostracized by the other tenants.

Bed bugs scare the crap out of me.

I live in Toronto and its a huge problem here.

We're sorry to hear this. Bed bugs can quickly turn into a serious problem, and it should be brought to the building owner's attention, so they can hire pest control specialists equipped to treat the entire building. Unfortunately, if you have bed bugs in one unit, they can spread rapidly to others by hitchhiking onto people's clothing/belongings or simply crawling through the walls. While spray will kill bed bugs on contact, they reproduce so fast that more thorough measures are needed to tackle the larvae. Our website has a bit more information on them: http://www.raidkillsbugs.com/en-us/bug-i...

I'm having a problem with pesky bed bugs. I live in apt building w my older grandparents, he owns the condo but there are bed bugs in our apt and he refuses to do anything about them. Can I tell my buildings owner, forcing them to come into my apt and exterminate without his permission? Is there any legal things that will make him HAVE to exterminate the apt. Is this a public health issue? Please help me. I know you can buy bed big spray but I don't think that will get rid of them for good. I also have a cat.
