Alternative ideas for a TV in your living room?

if you have guests over the entertainment should be conversation, a little music would be nice but interact with each other play games, talk, socialize and Kudos for not making it all about TV. I hate it when people invite me over to watch TV, I can do that alone at home

A studio is an apartment I wouldn't consider doing much more than keeping it my playhouse, and meet friends out somewhere, if there are more than one at a time.

First off, I would use the bigger living room for my bed. Center it, and set up the entertainment on the opposite wall. Have a small table lamp, and reading chair over where another good open space is, with a nice decorative TV tray for that, and a nice bed tray for yours. You might have a bar, you can sit a couple stools, idk. Use the bedroom as a huge dressing room, with a desk..and or a couple chairs and table, and keep your TV back there. The bedroom doesn't have to stay in the back anymore. You can set your house up the way you want too. Make it different. (This was how I did mine, when renting for awhile. Loved it).

True Ann, I completely agree with your opinion. Thanks all for the advice!

Hi All,

I just moved into a cosy new studio apartment. I watch all my movies, TV shows and TV on my computer and use it as my main entertainment system as its quite a big flat screen. However, I feel my living room would need something entertaining if guests come over...other than a couch, coffee table and a book shelf. Any ideas to spice up my apartment? I feel buying at TV would be a waste of money as I already entertain myself with the PC. Open to all and any suggestions (just no strip poles :P)

THanks!
