How to hang a heavy mirror, in toddler room?

Use a mirror channel that runs the length of the mirror at the bottom and can be screwed into the wall studs. That will hold all the weight. Then use mirror double stick tape squares in as many spot as you feel needed to hold it to the wall itself. Then add a number of mirror tabs the screw into the sheetrock and clamp down edges .

how about little 3-4 inch legs and just some clips to keep it from tilting forward. why use a nice mirror for chalkboard painting, why not just a piece of drywall or something?

Bad idea. Its still glass. If your toddler runs into it, it could shatter. We just painted the wall with chalkboard paint.

Best to hire a handy man to mount this object to the wall as it could be quite dangerous should it ever come loose and fall on a child.

I have a large and very heavy mirror I plan to paint with chalk board paint and put in my 2 year olds bedroom. How can I attach it to the wall safely and securely? It would be about 3-4 inches above floor.

Thanks.
