what can he do with this info? he said he would put in 14,000 from his uncle and then he splits it with me (through a check deposit?)

With that info he will EMPTY your bank account, steal your identity and open up credit cards and take out loans on your name and bankrupt you
You NEVER give your PIN code to anyone and never give anyone but your employer even part of your SSN. They can figure out the rest from your birthdate

This is a counterfeit check and he's trying to get YOU arrested for cashing/depositing it.
And if this is not something illegal, why isn't your friend helping him? Because he knows it's a scam and doesn't want to go to jail

You know that it's a scam. With that information, they will wipe out your bank account and steal your identity, taking out loans and credit cards in your name.
Why would anyone who received $14,000 in inheritance need to split it with you?
You should feel insulted and angry that they think you are dumb enough to even consider this scam.
Don't do it! They can take your zip, plus the last 4 # of your debit card,
put this small amount of information into a computer logged in as a bank holder, and they can get ALL your information.
Oh, geez, you have to ask? Don't even THINK about doing this!!!! Legit? Not a chance
