You can -- but unless this is a family member you DON'T. Anyone you only know online asking for money to be sent to Nigeria is always a scam. These various internet scams are the main way Boko Haram raises money for their terror campaigns. They receive hundreds of millions of dollars a year running online scams - craigslist scams, job scams, romance scams, inheritance scams, lottery scams, gold scams, customs scams, EBay scams, etc
Every penny you send buys another bullet to kill and kidnap children
So if this is some pretty girl, someone offering you money, someone offering you a job or anyone else you have never met face to face and is not your immediate family who you know, then you never send money to the country that invented internet scams
Do not send any money to Nigeria. Most of the money scams are from Nigeria. No matter what you heard or read, do not send anything by any means.
You can but will never see it or anything related to it again! Why would anyone? it's an apparent scam! If you want to give your money away try feed The Children!
