Thanks in advance.
Hanoi & other areas in northern Vietnam actually buys renewable electricity produced in Yunnan China (where around 80% of electricity is produced by renewable means - mainly hydro but also wind).
Around 45% of the electricity generated in Vietnam is from hydro - coal has very minor use and increased demand is intended to be met with nuclear
Solar energy is widely used in Vietnam also - far higher per capita rate than in Australia.
Wind energy. thermal energy, electricity generated from water and coals are the main renewable energy solution in developing countries.
[Note: Warmists rule on this site and they hate the truth so this answer will be quickly hidden.]
Hydroelectric is the only so called 'renewable' that puts any substantial electricity on the grid, worldwide it produces about 16% of all electricity produced.
All the silly 'hope & change' vanity renewables, including solar, tidal wave, bio mass and wind turbines combined only produce 3.5% of the electricity on the grid AFTER A $250 BILLION dollar investment (total waste of money).

Eighty percent of the world's electricity is produced by either burning so called fossil fuels or nuclear.
In short, unless you are talking about a new hydro-dam, there are NO renewable solutions.
But don't worry, because man-made Global Warmig is a HOAX anyway. See what the experts say below:
The Great Global Warming Swindle
Developing countries do not have the luxury, unlike the bloated decadent west, of not using traditional fuels.
If you imagine a camel herder in The Yemen is worrying about how to use renewable energy solutions you are very naive.
flossie is 100% correct . Developing countries want energy at the cheapest price and that is burning coal . They want nothing to do with the do gooders and their expensive and unreliable " renewable energy "
fact is if it isn't base load then it's never going to cut it in the real world
The same everywhere, solar, hydroelectric and wind. Maybe some geothermal, if they have access.
Australia could send Julia Gillard & the country could be powered by hot air.
In particular, the topography and climate of Vietnam. Please give examples and elaborate.
Thanks in advance.
