Question about jury duty?

It's actually two years you are excused for unless the judge says different. The jury summoning officer doesn't know the judge said that, or if you're actually disqualified from serving (maybe from having had a conviction in the last 10 years or having a job connected with the legal profession) so YOU have to tell THEM why you don't have to go.

But if you don't mind doing it again, and I certainly wouldn't (I rather enjoyed it too when I had to do it), go ahead!

Just go. You probably won't get chosen. You sit around all day, go to lunch, then sit around some more until they let you go. They have television, but take a tablet, or a DVD player or book to occupy your time. It's not that bad. Good people have fought and died for you to have this privilege. Do your civic duty.

You must go to the jury pool per the summons.

call the county office and tell them about the time you recently served. that should take care of it.

Yes. Or no. It could depend.
