Most states look back several quarters (4-5) to determine what you were making then and compare it to now. Even if you do qualify for unemployment, you will be required to do a job search, contacting at least two employers every week, looking for better and more secure unemployment. If you fail to do this job search or refuse an employment offer similar to your previous full-time work (was it full-time) at McDonalds. Also, even if you do qualify for unemployment, your unemployment benefit (which will only be a small portion of what you previously made) will be reduced $1 for every $1 you do make at McDonalds part time. If you weekly benefit is only $100 and you make $100 working part-time, you won't receive any unemployment that week.
In some states, if your hours have been cut below a certain point, you may qualify for partial UE. Call the local office. Have your last paystub from last year close by.
Depends on how much they were cut. But, it costs you nothing to apply for benefits and you may get something. In your free time, apply at some local supermarkets, they usually pay a little better.
We don't know if you would get it or not.
So - go apply and find out. However, they will be expecting you to be looking for work. They aren't going to make up lost wages if you aren't actively looking for work to make up lost wages yourself.
I would also suggest you find a better job. McDonalds is about as low as it gets.
get a better job, simple. and no, i dont think you can because mcdonalds is a sucky job. why get unemployment from working at a job like that.
Nope. You can find another job. You don't have a guarantee for a full-time job.
this is possible yes
probably
