Have you talked to your landlord about the differences? If not talk to them. If so and they
said oh well then call the electric company to come out and check to make sure all the
meters are running right. If sounds like something has gone wrong.
You either have to have the landlord get the electric company out to check this and if they
will not call them yourself and explain what is happening and have them come out.
Perhaps they made a mistake and wired more than one property up to your new meter.
Wait until it is dark (your neighbours have their lights on), then turn off your electricity. If any of your neighbours lights go out, problem solved.
You need to ring the electricity company and also tell your landlord.
I had my meter replaced a few years back and my off peak stopped working. Not wired correctly.
Maybe now a park light is attached to your trailer. Or something has been added to the line. At night you can turn off your electric box and see what other lights go out with it. You may be surprised
You got scammed! Call electric bill company.
I suggest you contact the power company. There may be something wrong with the meter.
You need to talk to your landlord and you may have to report this to city housing authority if they have one. I wouldn't delay because it is not the utility company's fault they will want to be paid.
you call the electric company with your concerns.
call the electric company you fool....they will answer any questions you have and resolve all issues
My landlord recently re-did all electric wireing underground and switched out our old electric meters for new ones (there is a set of 6 meters all together for my neighbors and myself, all switched out together). Is there any way that the calibration or the meters themselves could be messed up? When they switched them out it was an estimated bill, normal price at $75 for November. This month I got a bill for $550! Even in the coldest months, I have never had a bill over $150 in the two years I have been here!
I keep my 40 ft trailer at 64 degrees (outside temp 41F average (4 degrees colder then last year this time)). The trailer is fully electric.
When I checked with my neighbors, the one.who keeps her heat at the same temp but is skimpy on electric usage was $339 for this month! And my other neighbors who has a trailer twice as large, kids that leave things on, and keeps it at 70 degrees had a $33 bill .. since this does not look right at all, I checked the meter, it is saying (according to their last reading actual reading.on the bill). That I have used over 50,000 killawatts in the last 2 weeks! That is almost 5 times the amount of electricity that I have used in the last 12 months! (i used 11,000 killawatts in the last 12 months).
Please help, I am disabled as it is, I can not afford a bill that high on my limited income!
