Is water power cheaper then solar panel?

How do you turn water into energy that you can use for Appliances?

What the type of material i would need?

Is it cheaper then solar panel?

It all depends. In order to make power from water to need water that moves so it can turn a turbine.

Solar may be cheaper: http://www.installeco.com/local/solar-po... , depending on where you live.

Hydro electric is solar power from the evaporation of water by the sun and the subsequent precipitation at higher altitudes. In essence it's when nature has done a lot of the work for you and as anyone who has copied someone else's work in school knows, it's always easier if someone else does all the work.

But micro hydro is difficult for residential use, first there has to be the natural features such as a creek or stream and then water rights are deeply entrenched in the law and though you may own the land, the water rights may have been given away a long time ago.

So many opinions.................the internet is free and at thier fingertips yet they have the iq of a turnip.

Solar panels are expensive, but water is generally inefficient unless you just so happen to live on a river where you can make a waterwheel to provide your mechanical power.

The ONLY efficient use of water for cheap energy is the use of an impingement flywheel. Basically its a disk with holes drilled in it, a motor spins this disk (surrounded by water) and the creation of air pockets (cavitation) and thier subsequent collapse will heat the water and create steam. Its said that you create more energy than what is used, BUT I haven't been able to confirm such a claim.

But it is efficient, as long as you can use the steam to produce power you can use.

Solar panel is much more cheaper than water power.

It all depends on what you have available as to weather it would be cheaper or better. Give me a stream with 100 gallons per minute and a 20 foot fall any day over solar panels in a cloudy, rainy area. Give me solar in a sunny area over a 15 gallon per minute stream with 1 foot of elevation change.

The easiest way is to buy a turbine and all assorted equipment from a reputable dealer and have him install it for you. The cheapest way would require you to have plenty of knowledge and you wouldn't even bother to be asking people on here.

solar panel cheaper.

building a dam is so costly....
