Sure they give you a lift...energy..
Its the caffeine + other things in it.
However a lot of these extra things are very unhealthy for you.
Energy drinks are well known to cause heart attacks, heart arrythmias +deaths...etc.
You are truly best to drink coffee , keep fit + eat healthily etc for yr energy boost.
The ingredients are bad for your health but no it wont kill you unless you drink a large amount in a short time.
a can a day is fine. the problem is that the "boost" becomes addictive. my 60 year old sis went from one can of monster a day to four cans. she quit cold turkey when she realized what was happening. she also began to get heart palpitations from excess caffeine consumption.
I don't know this brand in particular but energy drinks have more caffeine then normal soda. There are some stories on the net of teens drinking a couple of high caffeine drinks and having heart attacks from the high caffeine dose.
That's an extreme example but it is not good to stress your body with it. It will be a bad habit like those who drink coffee because they are addicted.
Most of energy drinks are bad for health if you drink too much of them, mostly because of the cafeine and all the other weird stuff that they put in. And caffeine at an high level is a poison. So, one times to tmes will not be really dangerous but a lot daily may be harmfull.
