It's harder than you think. There are many recipes for soap making but they all use pure odium hydroxide such as the crystals in Red Devil drain cleaner ( Draino has a lot of other chemicals so you don't want to use it ). To really be without stores, you either have to learn how to make pure sodium hydroxide or learn how to make soap from impure sodium hydroxide made from the ashes of wood. Every process we have is a chain of other products, you have to reduce your needs and learn how to make them without any manufactured ingredients. It's easy to home craft a few things, really difficult to make everything you need yourself but if you can find other people and each of you specialize on few things, you can trade for the rest.
There are a ton of resources online. One of the best things I have found is how to make shampoo and conditioner:
Shampoo: 1Tbsp baking soda & 1 cup water
Conditioner: 1Tbsp apple cider vinegar & 1 cup water
I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and they work great! Although, they are not thick and don't give you the lather...I don't miss it.
You're better off growing non gmo vegetables and giving up meat entirely. Which are doing much more harm to the earth and you than soap products.
Logic: Think basic.
you better go to a book stall and ask to shopkeeper for solution
I would like to learn how to make soap, cheese and other things without buying anything from stores. Does anyone know a good book for these things?
