In addition to other answers there is this method...
Electric motor turns impeller in water bath container....holes in impeller drum pound the water ...water hammer effect..and create steam....steam turns a turbine which makes electricity...electricity runs the initial electric motor and the turbine also produces excess energy to power other things. It's called overunity where more power is produced than used which should not be possible.
Open your physics textbook and read about the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
Steam > turns turbine > electricity
Have a kettle shoot out steam at a pinwheel or paddle wheel with magnets attached. Wind up loops of wires around the pinwheel or paddle wheel and you should get a current.
steam spins a turbine which is geared to an alternator/generator or
steam operates a reciprocating engine which is attached to a generator
Our group has to make Electricity using the movement of Steam and the deadline is Monday, this is mechanical energy of course, and I don't really know how this works. :P
