1. Weapons of mass destruction? Depends on your views.
2. Government's neglect to actively pursue renewable sources of energy, such as solar radiation or ethanol.
3. Leaving lights on. This is especially true of the neon lights you see in stores or outdoor malls, etc.
4. Making unnecessary trips in the car. People should plan better how to run errands and should try to do it in one trip.
5. Inefficient boats. Wastes lots of gas and pollutes the environment.
6. Driving when you could walk or bike to wherever you're going.
7. Production of excessive packaging for goods. The energy that goes into making all that plastic is really a waste.
8. Paper bills, when bills can be done online. Again, energy waste in the form of cutting trees down and processing them, then in sorting the letters at the PO.
We are pretty wasteful overall. Good luck on your project!
The earth has a Limited Non Renewable Energy Resource Once it is gone that's it Finished, Kaput, No More leaving appliances on stand by TV's Computers Stoves Etc still uses energy. Leaving Lights and Air Conditioners on when your not in the room let alone the House, the Car you Drive and how you drive all have Consequences using energy that is not Sustainable or Renewable. And with the ever increasing population will only Deplete the resources faster as the population Growth is also Unsustainable. Depleting resources Degradation, Deforestation and Pollution i have heard people say it won't bother me I won't be here "BUT" Their Children, Grand children, Great Grand Children "WILL BE"
It gets wasted in literally countless ways.
People waste energy such as leaving lights on or leaving equipment on when it doesn't need to be. Wasting generated electrical power basically.
Police driving 8 cyl cars to patrol a small town
misuse and wastage of non renewable energy
