Cats only meow if they are trying to communicate with humans, it's the closest they can get to mimicking our sounds so you just have to figure out why.

Your cat meows allot as it gets rewarded for doing so. If you want it to be quiet you have to learn to ignore it when it meows and reward it when it is quiet. It sounds simple but it is not. We as humans are conditioned to alert ourselves to noise. So you don't give any attention at all when he meows and give food and water and hugs and attention when he does not seek it.

Ok, well. I have a cat and I can't figure out why he keeps meowing. It's SO annoying. I know he's not hungry because his food is always out, and I can't tell if he is just bored, because he doesn't like to play with cat toys. How do I make him stop. Please help. He's a black and white cat. I give him attention all the time so that's probably not the problem.
