What the others said about getting your W2 and filing taxes.
Yes, you need to contact the employer and give them a change of address. They will mail this form to the last address they have on record for you.
However, I'm going to bet you didn't make enough to have any taxes withheld. Or owe anything either. You would only get back - either what was withheld or the difference between what you owe and what was withheld.
If you got regular payroll checks - you can look at the check stub - should show what was withheld - if anything.
If nothing was withheld - then you won't get "tax money" back.
I don't get you "tried to talk to someone". Either you did or you didn't. And who is this someone?
At 15 - I expect you have parents - who have been getting W2s and filing taxes for years. "Try" talking to them about how this works.
It's called a W-2, and they have to be mailed by the end of January. When it comes, look at box 2. If that has a number in it, and you made under 6200 for he year, you can get the box 2 amount refunded by filing a tax return.
They are likely referring to your W-2 so you can file your taxes, those don't have to be issued till the end of January. I haven't gotten mine yet from my employer.
Your employer will send your tax form to the address that they have for you. You need to call them and tell them your new address or they will send it to your old address. The tax form is called a W2 and your employer is supposed to send it to you before the end of January.
We're you earning enough to pay tax?
