Example: If someone can do just anything they please with impunity they can kill someone if they get emotionally upset and think that would make them "feel good". That, of course, Permanently revokes all Rights and the Liberty of the individual who was murdered.
All citizens Must behave in a responsible manner if Liberty is to survive. Therefore, we theoretically could have No laws that detail any issues but instead have a Functioning Judicial Branch that is responsible for holding every individual Liable for correct all harm they may cause rather that tolerating this unjust mess we have today with an excessively cumbersome and costly pile of laws and bureaucracies to regulate every aspect of our lives.
That, of course, would be unwieldy in the opposite extreme because it would require much time being spent sitting on juries to individually determine what is the ethical remedy to be applied to every situation that results for the actions of those to irresponsible to behave in a non-destructive manner.
Once you see the reality of the need for responsible behavior, the need to personally speak in a responsible manner becomes obvious. There WAS an era when someone could be challenges to a duel for making insulting remarks. Thankfully, that era ended. BUT: we need to acknowledge the fact that freedom of speech must be Limited by personal responsibility of suffer the consequences for any liabilities you may create. It is illegal to incite a riot. It is illegal to yell FIRE in a crowded theater if there is no fire. We can't make laws to enforce every aspect of every action or statement, buy I hope you can accept the fact that you may get a harsh and well deserved punch in the nose if you speak stupidly.

There is a difference between protesting or arguing against ideas, which is what conservatives do, and not allowing those ideas to be aired in the first place, which is what liberals do.

One thing which I've always noticed is that conservatives always accuse liberals of censoring free speech. But, how many times have we seen conservatives want to shut down free speech when it comes to music (specifically rap)? How many times have we seen conservatives want to shut down free speech when it comes to TV and movies? How many times have we seen conservatives shut down free speech when it comes to the ugliness of Holocaust denial?
