but what about this -- getting one of those battery rechargers (shown in many catalogs these days). you could recharge 'em (assuming they're not car-batteries or anything-but the pocket-size for small appliances etc.).... then sell your batteries at a weekend flea market or similar. while you're at it, you can unload some other used & worthwhile things for cash too.
thanks for considering my thoughts. hope I've somehow helped you reach your own, best conclusions. good luck... :)
Battery acid an toxic materials, such as lead, mercury, cadmium and lithium remain even when they are dead. Storing dead batteries in such a manner is actually very dangerous. Call your city public works office and ask them if there is a drop off spot.
I don't think but not real sure
no, you can take them to a recycling bin in a supermarket like tesco or your district/borough council might provide a service to collect them.. but you wont get money for them... please do not put them in your normal waste bin they can harm the environment... seek alternatives.
No. But you can sell them.
Hey guys,
I have ton of batteries.... Like... A literally a ton... I can't even lift of the bin I have them in...
I honestly don't even know where do recycle them, although I'm sure I can find a place... The real question is, can I get some cash?
Is this a thing? Can I get some money for scrapping these batteries?
I live in Massachusetts, if anyone could direct me to someone or a business that pays for recycling these old batteries.... I've been collecting them for years because I didn't want to just throw them away.
Thanks!
