I have this refund check that I'm trying to cash only I cant cash it anywhere because I dont have a valid ID and I cant go to my bank because I don't live any where near it (I have a Chase bank account and got it when I lived in new york but now I live in massachusetts). So I asked my father if he could cash it for me. would that be possible?

The problem is going to be the fact that you have no ID. Most banks no longer cash third party checks (when you sign a check over to someone else). You may have to go with your father to his bank, have him deposit the check (do not sign the check until you get there) and then wait a few days for the check to clear and the bank to release the money. Have your father call his bank to see if this is doable.

well what if I sign it and go with him? and we dont plan on cashing it in a bank account I want to go to a check cashing place

No, he cannot. Mail your check to your bank for deposit.
